Coronavirus Payment Programs

On behalf of the entire Best Egg team, our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. Below are a few of the initial measures we’re taking for the well-being of our customers and communities.

If you’re a current customer who is encountering a financial hardship as a result of COVID-19, we want to help. Please see the available payment options and contact information below.

If you mail in payments, we are taking measures to ensure your account won’t be negatively impacted by late fees if there is a mail service delay. You can also consider enrolling in automatic payments to ensure your payment always posts on time.

Payment options for customers who have been impacted by COVID-19

Late fees: We have suppressed all late fees for all customers until further notice.

Waived penalties: We are ensuring customers who are currently on reduced payment programs aren’t penalized if they are unable to make their payments on time.

Payment programs: We have expanded the accessibility criteria for customers to enter short and long-term payment programs including a temporary payment holiday.

Temporary payment holiday terms:

  • Your loan will be extended by 2 months
  • Interest will continue to accrue during the duration of your extension
  • If you are on automatic payments, we will adjust your scheduled payment date to align with your new due date

How to enroll in Coronavirus payment programs

Send an email to Loan_Assistance@mybestegg.com and include a brief description of your hardship. You can also learn more and enroll by chatting with a loan specialist in the Best Egg Account Portal.

Please Note for Faster Processing:

  1. Be sure to use the email address you have on file with Best Egg.
  2. Copy the “Temporary payment holiday terms” listed above and confirm that you agree terms.
  3. Include a brief description of your hardship
  4. For your security, please remember not to share personally identifiable information on emails sent to Best Egg, such as your Social Security Number or date of birth.
