WILMINGTON, DE — At Best Egg, our customers are our main focus and we strive to equip them with the information they need to make better financial decisions. That’s why we’re proud to announce that all current customers now have access to their FICO® Scores through the Best Egg platform. With this resource, customers have the opportunity to understand how their finances are viewed by lending institutions and can see the factors that impact their credit score.
Most lenders in the United States use FICO® Scores as the industry standard for determining creditworthiness. Having access to their FICO® Score, Best Egg customers can have a better understanding of how lenders view their credit risk. Knowing their credit score, Best Egg customers can use this information to help decide where to allocate funds from their personal loans. If customers decide they want to improve their credit score by paying off debt, they can utilize the new Direct Pay capability to have their personal loan applied directly to paying off credit card debt.
To get access to their score, Best Egg customers must opt-in through the Best Egg platform. All active customers will be able to access a 6-month trend of their score as well as their top score factors from FICO® so they can see what is affecting their credit score and help inform behaviors that can improve their credit in the future. Scores will be updated on a monthly basis, so customers can stay up-to-date on how their scores may have been impacted.
