Best Egg collects information from you when you choose to provide it to us. This may include when you create an account, apply for a loan, accept a preapproved firm offer of credit, request information from us, sign up for newsletters or our email lists, use our Site, or otherwise contact us.

The information we collect may include your name, address, email address, telephone or mobile phone number, Social Security number, and financial account information. You may be required to provide certain personal information to apply for and receive Best Egg services.

Information We Automatically Collect

We may use cookies or other technologies to automatically collect certain information when you visit our Site or interact with our emails. For example, if you are responding to an offer of credit, we may automatically populate your personal information into our system once you enter your offer code. Additionally, we may automatically collect certain non-personal information from you such as your browser type, operating system, software version, and Internet Protocol (“IP”) address. We also may collect information about your use of the Site, including the date and time of access, the areas or pages that you visit, the amount of time you spend using the Site, the number of times you return, whether you open, forward, or click-through emails, and other Site usage data.

  • Evaluate your creditworthiness in response to a preapproved firm offer of credit or request for financial services;
  • Contact you in response to a loan application or otherwise;
  • Provide loan servicing;
  • Develop new products or services;
  • Provide you with customized Site content;
  • Research, address problems with, and improve the usage and operations of the Site;
  • Protect the security or integrity of the Site and our business; and
  • As described to you at the point of data collection.

Information Sharing

Best Egg may share the information we collect from and about you: (1) to our Service Providers, if the disclosure will enable them to perform a business, professional, or technical support function for us; (2) as necessary if we believe that there has been a violation of Best Egg’s Terms of Use or of our rights or the rights of any third party; (3) to respond to judicial process or provide information to law enforcement or regulatory agencies or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law; and (4) as described to you at the point of collection.

Best Egg may sell or purchase assets during the normal course of our business. If another entity acquires us or any of our assets, information we have collected from and about you may be transferred to such entity. In addition, if any bankruptcy or reorganization proceeding is brought by or against us, such information may be considered an asset of ours and may be sold or transferred to third parties. Geolocation

Card App periodically collects, transmits, and uses geolocation information to enable features
that prevent fraudulent card use and send alerts, but only if the End User expressly authorizes
collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis
in the background only while the Solution is being used or not at all, depending on the End
User’s selection. End Users can change their location permissions at any time in their device
settings.


Access to your personal information

If you have an account with us, you may sign in to your account on the Site and update the personal information contained in the account.

To unsubscribe from Best Egg’s marketing emails, please click the personalized link at the bottom of a marketing email.

If you are a California resident, California law provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months and the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. Please note that we are only required to respond to two such requests per customer each year.

Uses: Information is used for the purpose of determining loan eligibility, processing requests, and servicing funded loans. Some information may be used for marketing purposes and to enhance your customer experience.

Sells / Discloses: Information is shared with service providers and affiliates to administer services and may be shared with law enforcement, regulatory agencies and the courts as permitted by law.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A CALIFORNIA RESIDENT

Listed below is a summary of the rights you are entitled to as a California resident under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
