Wilmington, DE, March 8, 2018Best Egg, the consumer lending brand of Marlette Funding, LLC, was recently named as one of the Top 20 Best Fintechs to Work For. The awards program was created in 2017 and is a project of American Banker and Best Companies Group.

This survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the financial technology industry, benefiting the industry’s economy, workforce and businesses. The list is made up of 20 companies.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be an organization that provides technology products, services or solutions that enable the delivery of financial services
  • Have at least 15 employees working in the US
  • Be in business a minimum of 1 year

“We are honored to be named on this prestigious list of best places to work,” said CEO Jeffrey Meiler. “The distinction reflects the incredible team we have put together and our commitment to employee success.”

In tandem, American Banker published an article featuring Jeffrey Meiler and his explanation of how the company has built its award winning culture, “At Best Egg, Talk is a Best Practice.”

Companies from across the United States entered the two-part survey process to determine American Banker’s Best Places to Work in Financial Technology. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data and determined the final ranking.
