WILMINGTON, DE – May 4, 2020 – Marlette Funding, LLC, developer and operator of the Best Egg consumer-lending platform, has launched a new secured loan product, the Nested Loan. Developed based on data and feedback from homeowners with a Best Egg personal loan, the product provides an innovative and simplified option for customers to get access to lower rates, higher loan amounts, and longer terms without the cumbersome process of a home equity loan. The Nested Loan marks the first of a line of products and features the company plans to launch over the next two years.

“Our homeowning customers are an attractive segment who have other borrowing options,” said Bobby Ritterbeck, Chief Marketing Officer for Marlette Funding. “We listened to what matters most to them and built Nested Loans to offer a more attractive borrowing alternative while still providing the speed and ease we have always offered with the Best Egg personal loan.”

Nested Loans, secured by fixtures in the home, can be used for any number of purposes, from home improvements to consolidating debt. The new secured loan will be available to qualified personal loan applicants, and like Best Egg’s unsecured personal loan, Nested Loans offer fixed interest rates, the ability to check rates without impacting your credit score, and funding available as quickly as next day.

“Over the past year, our company has been focused on the best way we can diversify what we offer to customers to help them meet their financial goals,” shared Jeffrey Meiler, Chief Executive Officer of Marlette Funding. “We engage with customers to see where they feel their needs aren’t met. The Nested Loan is just the first option we are releasing to the market.”

Recently, Marlette upgraded its loan platform and modified its operational model, effectively preparing the company for new product expansion.  With its scalable infrastructure, Marlette expects to introduce more products and loan features over next two years, including the launch of an innovative new credit card that will provide a frictionless customer experience and continue to help customers improve their finances in a simpler way.
