WILMINGTON, DE – September 16, 2020 – Marlette Funding, LLC., developer and operator of the Best Egg consumer-lending platform, is honored to announce that the company has been named the Top Workplace in Delaware for Midsize Companies by the Delaware News Journal. The company also received a special award from the outlet for New Ideas. This marks the first year Marlette Funding has earned the top honor for midsize companies after coming second for the past two years.
“It’s always significant to be recognized as a company for the hard work we’re doing but to be named the Top Midsize Workplace in Delaware is truly a testament to our employees,” said Jeffrey Meiler, Chief Executive Officer. “We challenge ourselves every day to think about our customers and their needs and this way of thinking has been adopted into how we think about each other, especially as we continue to navigate through COVID-19. Marlette Funding employees have been working remotely since March, but employees have stepped up to create the same family-like culture even when they cannot physically be with their colleagues. The company remains connected by hosting virtual cooking lessons, art projects, and social hours led by senior leadership. During this uncertain and difficult time, the company listened to its employees’ feedback on the issues of diversity and inclusion, and remotely mobilized a cross-functional team focused on education, awareness, and action to cultivate a more diverse atmosphere of sensitivity and inclusion.
Through the pandemic, Marlette Funding remains committed to helping serve its local Wilmington community. Even while working remotely, a team from Marlette supported first responders and front-line workers by providing hot lunches and dinners at various locations during the pandemic. The company has also continued its support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma society by creating a company “quarantine cookbook” and hosting a virtual “pie in the face” event where all proceeds we donated to the charity.
